I wouldn't recommend dyeing a whole head of hair cause it's really damaging. Plus you tend to get bored of it very easily. Opt for highlights instead. They are more interesting and you can have 2 (even 3) colors at a time. For brunettes, I'd choose caramel or copper shades because they bring out the most definition. Champagne highlights are super gorgeous too.
If your hair falls past your shoulders, lighten the lowest few centimeters a little. This will make your face appear shorter (:

Oh and I have another question...I'm Chinese and I want to die my hair. I have a long face with high cheekbones. My face shape sort of resembles Maggie Q. It already has light brown highlights. It gets cold in NY so I wnna wrm it up a lil, any color idea?
