Everyone who knows me would know that I'm a nail polish fanatic right?
A peek into my nail polish collection. This was taken some time back where I only had 90 over bottles of nail polish. I think I have about 120 bottles now, excluding nail treatments.
These are the swatches of all nail lacquers I have. I group them by brand in general.
Up until last year, my nails were horrible and ugly because I'm an unconscious, excessive nail-biter. I can sit down for an hour and before I can stop myself, my fingers would all be bleeding. My friends and especially my mummy scolded me for so long until I finally opted for gel extensions to let my nails grow out. The 2 months was ultimate rehabilitation for me man. Tough times. The first time I went for gel extensions, I failed because I BIT THROUGH THE GEL EXTENSIONS TO GET TO MY NAILS. I am so disgusting and almost beyond hope. But now, I have damn pretty nails and I can't stop painting them!
Favourite nail jobs:
(L) the princessy colour and bow.
This HAS to be the hardest manicure I have done for myself, but it was all worth it because it turned out gorgeous despite the messy sides. Not sure I can do a replica of it anytime soon though.
An edgy twist to a french manicure. Frenchies are especially difficult to paint on right hands if you're a right hander, but look at the picture!!! That's my right hand and I am suddenly so proud of my left hand for a job well done. First try, nonetheless. HAHA.
When I had this on, it was such a hit with almost everyone. But so many mistook it for purple or grey-based. It's not!!! Look carefully! I loved it so much because it's a mind-blowing mixture of multi-coloured glitters. The wearing period was great too, but it was a @#$%^&*( to remove. So think twice before you apply it. A tip is to paint your nails with a basic colour (I used white) before you paint this glitter lacquer and to remove it with felt (fabric) DRENCHED in nail polish remover.
P/s: Did not put up the names and details (formula, wearing power, shine, etc) of the nail lacquers in this entry because I don't have the time, but if you are particularly interested in any one of them, leave a note on my formspring and I'll try to recall!
Nails aside, I'll prolly be blogging less from now on because attachment has begun (first day today). Please still talk to me through my formspring because I'll check back(:
I used to always dread attachment because CAN YOU PICTURE ME AS A TEACHER?! But with this preschool, I am expecting the best. It's a centre where I would definitely send my kids to in the future. I was so taken aback after my day there today, because the teachers there teach with their heart and everything that they have learnt from early childhood education. I truly truly respect them. I cannot say the same for any other preschools I have been to. I have pretty awesome practicum mates too. One bad thing is: I don't get their food. I just don't get it. Haha, it is horrible but the kids seem to like it so much. Ohwells, can't have the best of everything.
Full-time student-teacher ftw!
P/s/s: WTF MAN, I JUST PUBLISHED THIS POST TO MY CCA'S BLOG. What is wrong with me?! HAHAHA. Thank gawd I checked.
