Nails of the day, 23/12/11

Nail polish

I'm so excited over the new additions to my nail polish collection!!!

OPI DS Bold
OPI DS Bold

Essie Duo
Essie Turquoise & Caicos
Essie Shine of the Times (can't wait to try this out!)

China Glaze + Color Club
China Glaze Eye Candy 3-D Glitters
Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe Collection Holiday 2011
Color Club Backstage Pass Collection

Best news ever since I got back: I might have a sponsor for nail polish! Still sorting out the details (with me being in England and whether I can manage my time to do reviews), but fingers crossed and hoping it will work! A nail fanatic's dream come true ^^

Here are my recent nail designs:

Rainbow candy-striped nails
Love this to death. All BarryM colors, and extremely cheery :)

Flower nails
OPI A Dozen Rosas!
This is my lazy manicure, when I want something non-boring but am too lazy to do anything fancy. Haha. Still looks cute, no?

Soft pink - Polka dots and candy stripes!
The first time I experimented with stripes :)

Anyway, I've been thinking about all my nails-related posts and whether I should set up a separate nail blog for it. Not sure if it's cluttering this space. And if I do have another blog for it, I might post about my nails more frequently + include video tutorials. Let me know what you think in the poll below! ^^

Nails of the day, 11/11/11

I'm wearing this right now! This is my first attempt at combining polka dots with french and tbh, it's pretty gorgeous.
Lacquers used - Color Club Milky White (base coat), OPI Passion (base color), Barry M Mint Green (tips), OPI Alpine Snow (dots), Ettusais Gel Top Coat

This was my lazy manicure. I couldn't be bothered to think of designs, so I just slapped on Nubar's Prize. It's beautiful though. A red-pink with chunky holo, love it!

Vintage floral design. I was going for the Cath Kidston vibe, but didn't quite make it there.

And the most popular design to date:

CUPCAKES!!!!!!! Did them in pastels, and everyone went crazy. I'm kinda sick of them now though, cause I must have painted them for at least five different people. Will think of something else to triumph this.

Nails and drinks of the day, 4th Oct.

This is the first proper manicure I gave myself ever since I got here 3 weeks ago. CAN YOU BELIEVE I WALKED AROUND WITH BARE, UNPAINTED NAILS FOR TWO-WHOLE-WEEKS?! My nails chipped, they went out of shape, and they were naked. I know they look fine here, but you cannot imagine how anal I can get when it comes to my nails. Gonna try and rebuild them while I'm here.

Anyway, just bought groceries. Here are two new drinks in my life:

My second favorite alcoholic drink, after Fosters.

Relentless, the taboo drink in our flat, only because Reema and Divya are beyond addicted. THEY ARE COMPLETE JUNKIES FOR IT. It's an energy drink by the way, like Redbull. I bought it for my Stats lecture, where I fell asleep the last time T_T

Bye-bye birdie.

Do you like my new blogskin??????

I know...it's almost like my old one, but I cleaned it up a little and added some color to it! Plus, you can now 'Like' my posts and leave a proper comment where I will reply :D

And on another note, my current nails are super popular!!! My mum, my aunt, baby's mum, and my friends all love it to death! If you don't follow me on twitter, here's a low-res picture of it :3

I saw a similar penguin design online, and decided to give it a shot. Turns out, it's pretty easy to accomplish! Try it too (:

Nails, again.

Time to flaunt my recent nail colors/designs. Just two actually... -.-

This is with OPI's Mermaid Tears (from the Pirates collection) and Nubar's Teal Glitter for french tip. Very subtle french, and I love it a lot.

I got heaaaaaaaps of compliments for this Monsters Inc. inspired design!! It's super duper cute, albeit a little flawed. Heck it, I'll do it again when I run out of ideas! :D

Nailz!

Haven't posted pictures of my nails in a longgggg while, because I change nail colour + design too often that I got lazy to take a picture. If you follow me on twitter, you would have seen them though.

These strawberries are on my nails right now!
OPI Bright Lights-Big Color, OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, and Elianto White.

Bumble bee's trail!
All drugstore colors.

One of the most meaningful nail designs I have done. Each ribbon is a cause that I am fighting for.

Yellow (pinkie): Suicide Awareness for a dear friend who just committed suicide from bullying and Rehabilitation of Ex-offenders for a good friend whose boyfriend was wrongly accused and sent to Prison School.
Pink (ring finger): Breast Cancer for my mummy.
Purple (middle finger): Cystic Fibrosis for the late Kai Keng, and Angeline.
Red (index finger): AIDS for E and her father.
Rainbow (thumb): Gay Pride for Rena, Caleb, D, and every other person who just wants to find the right love.

Sponged gradient with turquoise and a coat of glitter.
OPI Passion, Etude House and Elianto Turquoise.
