SPCA.

So that's what happened in a nutshell.

I drove the abused cat all the way from Tiong Bahru to Upper Serangoon, only to be told that I need to drive back, put the cat back to where I found it, and GIVE THEM A CALL ABOUT THE ABUSE. What warped logic is that? I was RIGHT THERE with the cat, and they want me to bring it back, so that they can rescue the cat on their own time and dime?! They even had the audacity to laugh mockingly at me, because I brought in the cat without knowing whether they will accept it. I swear I wanted to break their noses so badly. Messages like "Stop Animal Abuse" and "Help Us Save Lives" are all over their website, and when I'm doing just that, they tell me I need to be less proactive? Well, fuck that.

I get that they have a lot of strays to house, and space is limited, but I didn't bring in any random stray I found. I brought one that was abused. And they turned me away because they don't accept "sterilized and healthy cats". So I can only bring it in when it's been abused to the brink of death?

Also according to them, the cat will be better remaining a stray. I'm sorry, but in what world does it make sense to assume that a cat will survive well in an environment where food is not constant, and people are free to abuse it, as opposed to being in SPCA where there are people to care for her and food and water is always provided? How about I put YOU in the wild and see you "LIVE BETTER"?! I'll then take over your house and your fridge and complain about how much I'm suffering. Sounds stupid, doesn't it?

I named her "Hitler" because she has a black patch where the mustache should be. She's extremely docile, and would approach you, and rub herself against you if you squat down. Even when I placed her in a basket and trapped her there, she didn't react angrily. All she did was give a few pleading purrs and sat down, looking at me. When I lifted the cover, she even let me pat her without scratching or biting me.

When I made my way back to Tiong Bahru and released the cat back to where I found it, I felt extremely horrible and sick. I tried to do something, but it still amounted to absolutely nothing. I want so much to bring it home, but I can't do that with my dog, and with me leaving Singapore so soon. I just hope the abusing will stop and someone will be kind enough to bring her home. She would have been such a wonderful pet |':

In the meantime, SPCA needs to buck the fuck up, and set their priorities straight.

P/s: If any of you would like to adopt her as a pet, please email me at hawtvintage@hotmail.com (or text me if you have my number). She only appears at a specific timing, so I can bring her home and house her until you come and pick her up. I'll also pay for half of her medical check-up with the vet. But please hurry because I fly to UK on Saturday ):

I have interacted with the cat for about a week now, and she is always a pleasant company. Even with my brother and his girlfriend (not just me), she would rub against them and beg for them to pat her. She has never shrieked or attacked us, and is extremely trusting and friendly, so I am very sure she will be a lovely pet.

FYI, I have never been a cat-lover until "Hitler" (:
