Built around a bubble of nothing.

Photobucket

It's interesting that what someone else knows of us, is what we choose to show them. They can only guess how we are feeling from the way our fists clench, or the way our eyes droop, or the split second where our lips twitch. If we deprive them of the chance to look at us, can they tell what is in our hearts?

What about the times where we judge people for the facts that we merely see on the surface?

He's fat, he must be a glutton.
She's skinny, she must be anorexic.
He's failing school, he must be stupid.
She's wearing nice clothes, she must be rich.
He's talking to girls all the time, he must be a flirt.
She's smiling at the guys, she must be sleeping with them.

Sometimes, I wish we were born without the ability to be prejudiced. Why do we behave so superficially, when we are built to be the most intriguing and intricate creatures on earth?

P/s: Will explain my outburst in the next entry (when I feel ready to write about it).
